Bearings play a very important role in the configuration of CNC lathes. They play an irreplaceable role in force transmission and changing the direction of force. Therefore, bearings are generally divided into two types: transmission bearings and variable direction bearings. These two types of bearings need to be matched to achieve the desired effect. Today, we, CNC lathe manufacturers, will explain the classic solution for bearing configuration of CNC lathes.
1. Static pressure bearings and cylindrical roller bearings
The bearing configuration of the CNC machine tool is a classic structure. Static pressure bearings bear axial loads by using a lubrication pump to send pressure oil into the bearing clearance, forcing the formation of a lubricating oil film and achieving liquid lubrication of sliding bearings. The external axial load is balanced by the static pressure of the lubricating oil. Cylindrical roller bearings bear radial loads. This type of bearing has the advantages of high oil film stiffness and the ability to suppress oil film oscillation.
2. Thrust ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings
Thrust ball bearings mainly bear a certain axial force, so this bearing is used to bear axial loads; Cylindrical roller bearings are mainly used to withstand radial loads, and a set of thrust ball bearings is used for pre tensioning the worktable of CNC machine tools. Pre tensioned bearings can improve the rigidity of the worktable. When the machined workpiece is asymmetric or the center of mass is not at the center of rotation, compared with hydrostatic bearings, it can reduce worktable overturning.
The above is the classic solution for the bearing configuration of CNC lathes provided by CNC lathe manufacturers. We hope that the above explanation can be helpful for everyone when assembling CNC lathes in the future.
